Australian Topaz - Concave Octagon Star - 14.6ct
Australian topaz is a fantastic gemstone, it always cuts a bright, beautiful silvery gem. This natural topaz comes from O'Briens Creek in North Queensland near a small town called Mt Surprise. About 40km along a dirt road you'll come to O'Briens Creek campground on the banks of the freshwater Elizabeth Creek. On the other side of the creek is a stunning landscape of rugged old pink granite hills and here is found this quite incredible gem.
This gem is finished in a large concave cut octagon star and the lively appearance and dance of patterns is quite something to see.
