Australian Smoky Quartz - Snail - 131.15ct
My first carving for the year so I guess this is my spirit animal for 2025... I wonder what the message is? Perhaps to just slow down.
I found the original smoky quartz crystal when I lived out at O'Briens Creek many years ago now. I would go fossicking most days and it was a regular occurrence to find smoky quartz crystals, usually well water worn, with the topaz. This was a lovely piece with a bright clarity and ideal shape for a snail. I’ve included a pic of that crystal.
In this carving the snail is just starting to emerge from it’s shell.
