Brazilian Alexandrite - Oval - 1.41ct
A superb natural Brazilian alexandrite oval gem with a strong colour change from a green blue teal to a pink purple red. I have always found alexandrites very tricky to photograph and this one was no different. The gem looks much nicer in the hand then in the pictures. Alexandrites are one of the rarest and most coveted of gems. Good quality gems that exhibit this particular change of hues are scarce and the Brazilian alexandrites are famous for it.
