Copper Schiller Sunstone - Chest - 28.27ct

I had this lovely piece of sunstone from Oregon which had a strong patch of copper schiller in it. The shape was ideal for carving a human chest. I was inspired by incredible jewels such as the Canning Jewel which features a bearded merman brandishing a scimitar. These jewels often use baroque pearls or other gems that are particularly well shaped to be used as chests and torsos. I carved this sunstone with the intention of it being used in such a jewel.
