Australian Wattle Yellow Sapphire - Round Brilliant - 2.69ct
This was a very difficult sapphire to photograph and the pics are close but they don't quite capture the amazing wattle like hues of this natural Australian sapphire. I always seem to have a hard time photographing yellow gemstones as the camera wants to pick up more green then what is actually there in real life. This is a wonderful sapphire and at night under lights it exhibits a slight colour shift that's hard to describe but is quite lovely and adds another level to the sapphire's personality. This gem really captures the outback colours of the flowering wattle tree.
